On the morning of June 22 local time, accompanied Premier Li Qiang to visit France and attend the New Global Finance Compact Summit, Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu held bilateral talks with Minister of the Ministry of Ecology Transformation and Land Coordination of France Bacou in Paris. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as Sino French ecological and environmental cooperation and promoting the implementation of the “Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework”. Both sides highly recognize the achievements of cooperation between China and France in the field of ecological environment, and express their willingness to actively implement the consensus of the leaders of the two countries and the joint statement of China and France, and further deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of ecological environment.
During the talks, Huang Runqiu and Beiqiu signed the Environmental Protection Cooperation Agreement between the departments of the two countries, and reached consensus on in-depth cooperation in areas such as climate change, pollution prevention, and biodiversity protection.
